Honoring Fuzuli’s Legacy: A Special Meeting with Author Huseyin Abiva

We had the distinct pleasure of meeting Huseyin Abiva, a distinguished author and scholar, who presented his remarkable book, Fuzuli – The Garden of the Felicitous, to Farid Mammadov, President of the Azerbaijan Center of Midwest America (ACMA).

About the Book

The Garden of the Felicitous is a groundbreaking English translation of Fuzūlī’s Hadīkatu’s-Suʿadā, marking the first time this significant work has been made widely accessible to English readers. Fuzūlī, one of the most revered poets of the Turkic world, infused his works with deep spiritual, philosophical, and literary wisdom. His writings continue to inspire generations, offering a unique window into classical Islamic thought and poetry.

Historically, Hadīkatu’s-Suʿadā has occupied a pivotal role in Islamic literature, influencing numerous scholars and poets. Notably, this work also inspired Naim Frashëri (d. 1900) in composing his epic Albanian poem Qerbelaja.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Abiva for his dedication to preserving and sharing this literary treasure.
