About Us

The Azerbaijan Center of Midwest America (ACMA) is a non-government, not-for-profit organization established under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Since its founding on April 15, 2015, ACMA has been dedicated to fostering a strong bond between the Azerbaijani and American communities, promoting mutual understanding, and celebrating the rich heritage of Azerbaijan within the United States.

ACMA is committed to continuing its work of enhancing intercultural exchange, providing support to Azerbaijani-Americans in the region, and strengthening the relationship between the U.S. and Azerbaijan. Our Mission & Vision

Mission:

The mission of the Azerbaijan Center of Midwest America (ACMA) is to promote and raise awareness about Azerbaijani culture, art, history, and heritage within the United States, particularly in the Midwest. ACMA organizes cultural, educational, and business-oriented activities to bring together the Azerbaijani-American communities and to create a bridge between Azerbaijan and the U.S. ACMA’s work aims to foster greater understanding, intercultural dialogue, and cooperation between the two nations.

Vision:

  • To unite people with an interest in Azerbaijani culture, regardless of their ethnic origin, religion, or background.
  • To organize events that encourage dialogue and cultural exchange, increasing awareness of contemporary issues related to Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani community, and the shared history with the United States.
  • To collaborate with other organizations in the U.S. to promote intercultural understanding and cultural diversity.
  • To provide support to Azerbaijani-Americans and help them overcome challenges while adapting to new cultural and social environments.
  • To represent the interests of our members, ensuring their voices are heard, and facilitating communication with other Azerbaijani-American organizations across the U.S.
  • To improve the understanding of Azerbaijani culture and enhance the recognition of its contributions to the global community.
