Azerbaijan Center of Midwest America Hosts Annual Community Iftar Dinner in Skokie

Skokie, IL – March 13, 2026 — The Azerbaijan Center of Midwest America (ACMA) is honored to host its Annual Iftar Dinner on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago North Shore, 5300 W Touhy Ave, Skokie, IL 60077.

This special gathering brings together families, friends, and distinguished guests in the spirit of Ramadan, celebrating unity, reflection, and shared community values. ACMA is especially honored to welcome guests from the Turkish Consulate, along with representatives and families from the Turkish, Pakistani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Uyghur Turkish, and Azerbaijani communities across Illinois.

During the holy month of Ramadan, it is especially meaningful to see many Turkic Muslim communities in Illinois come together for a shared Iftar. Events like this strengthen friendships and cultural ties among communities that share common traditions and values.

Farid Mammadov, President of the Azerbaijan Center of Midwest America, shared that ACMA hopes this gathering will continue to grow in the coming years.

“It is wonderful to see many Turkic Muslim communities coming together during Ramadan. We hope that next year we will be able to invite and connect with even more Muslim communities across Illinois, further strengthening unity, understanding, and friendship.”

The Annual Iftar Dinner serves as an opportunity to promote cultural understanding, community cooperation, and the spirit of togetherness that defines the holy month of Ramadan.
