ACMA Brings the Community Together for an Unforgettable New Year Celebration

The Azerbaijan Center of Midwest America (ACMA) successfully hosted its highly anticipated Happy New Year 2025 Celebration on December 31, 2024, at the Skokie Banquet and Conference Center. The event, which coincided with the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis, brought together families, community members, and friends for a night of cultural connection, joy, and unity.

The celebration welcomed over 160 attendees, creating an electric atmosphere filled with laughter and camaraderie. Guests enjoyed an array of traditional Azerbaijani dishes, live music, and performances that highlighted the rich heritage and cultural vibrancy of Azerbaijan.

This year’s celebration was particularly memorable as it featured a special performance of Azerbaijani national dances by our talented children, capturing the essence of Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage and bringing pride to the attendees.

Highlights of the Evening:

  • Cultural Performances: Live Azerbaijani music and dance captivated the audience, showcasing the artistry and traditions of the Azerbaijani community.
  • Lavish Dinner: Guests indulged in an exquisite selection of Azerbaijani cuisine, thoughtfully prepared to reflect the region’s culinary excellence.
  • Festive Activities: The event included engaging activities for all ages, ensuring that everyone—from children to adults—had a memorable experience.
  • Santa Claus for Kids: Adding to the festive cheer, Santa Claus made a special appearance, delighting children with gifts and joyful interactions.

“We are overjoyed to have celebrated the New Year and International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis with such a remarkable event,” said Farid Mammadov, President of ACMA. “The children’s dance performance and the joy Santa Claus brought to the little ones truly made this celebration unforgettable. It’s wonderful to see our community come together to honor our traditions and welcome the future with open hearts.”

ACMA extends heartfelt thanks to its sponsors, volunteers, and all attendees who made the event a grand success. Their support and participation were instrumental in creating a night to remember.
