Tragic Airplane Crash in Azerbaijan Saddens the Azerbaijani Diaspora in the United States

On December 25, the Azerbaijani community in the United States received the heartbreaking news of the crash involving an “Embraer 190” passenger aircraft belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL). The flight was en route from Baku to Grozny (Russian Federation) when the tragic incident occurred.

On behalf of the Alliance of Azerbaijani Organizations in America, which unites 19 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) across the United States, we extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this tragedy. The news has left all members of our community grieving deeply for the loss.

Representing all member organizations, their leaders, and the broader Azerbaijani diaspora in the U.S., we share in the sorrow of the bereaved families and express our heartfelt sympathies during this difficult time.
